His immune system was compromised. His nervous energy had been locked away with busy-trips (read: busywork), visiting friends, marijuana and beer, and hiking. His stomach gave way to violent puking. Hour after hour. Flashbacks to the the hospital visit of 2011. An almost anxiety attack.
He began to contemplate the decisions that lead him to this point. He shouldn’t have bought the one way ticket.
And then it ended, and he could drink water. Sweet, sweet water.
His confidence began to return.
